Features

  • The OCXO unit adds a rugged heat insulation box made of heat insulation panels to maintain the environment where OCXO performance is maximized.
  • The bottom of the case is made of 2 mm thick aluminum material + 8.4 mm thick laminated iron material. There are a total of 10.4 mm thick plates with a strong vibration control structure. Output GND insulation / shell GND selection function

  • The output GND potential can be switched between "Isolated from the housing GND" or "Shell GND". If the GND output from this unit is grounded together, when multiple devices are connected, the GND potential difference of each device will flow through the GND of the connecting cable, which will cause noise called GND loop.
  • Therefore, it is usually best to isolate the GND of each output from the noise output. Depending on the system used, the GND of each device may be properly grounded. If there is no such GND potential difference between each device, grounding the output GND to the chassis GND may obtain better noise effects.
  • Since the environment of the audio system is different, you can choose the most suitable method according to your environment. The bottom plate of this machine is equipped with the GND terminal of the shell.

External LPS power supply

  • This device is designed to operate only with external DC power. Make sure to prepare an external DC power supply. We recommend using our dedicated power supply (LTPW01P), but if the specifications match, you can use your favorite linear power supply.
  • The external DC specification is 13.5V to 16V 1A. The recommended voltage is 15V. The LT3045 can eliminate noise even when the input and output voltages differ by 1V. The smaller the input / output voltage difference within the specifications, the better the performance of the LT3045. Therefore, it can work at a voltage of 13.5V to obtain a good noise-free DC power supply.
  • The external DC plug standard is 2.1mm / 5.5mm. Or you can use ordinary DC plug

Ultimate OP level selection value

  • The OCXO installed in this product uses a stable OCXO unit that has been calibrated for several months. In order to perform the optimum selection as an audio clock, we are conducting a comprehensive evaluation of the phase noise characteristics and the short-term stability (Alan dispersion) that allows more detailed examination.
  • The product cannot be evaluated by measuring only the output characteristics of the built-in OCXO unit. The measurement of our calibration is not the output of the OCXO unit directly, but is measured from the output terminal of this product in order to evaluate all the performance including the buffer circuit.

Selection OP standard value

Our main criteria for grade selection is the short-term stability value of Alan dispersion. For example, even if the phase noise value is -121 dBc / Hz or less at an offset of 1 Hz, if the value of short-term stability Tau = 1 sec does not meet the standard, it will not become OP21. This is similar to the traditional OP grade selection method.

The above values ​​are not standard catalog values ​​(typical), but guaranteed values ​​measured individually, so the product quality is constant. There is no so-called “falloff”.


* As the value of phase noise offset 1Hz, appropriate value of offset 1.000Hz to 1.099Hz is adopted to avoid averaging error. Phase noise measurements are very sensitive and subject to instrument and measurement error. The indicated phase noise value includes the measurement error, not the absolute value. The indicated phase noise value is a value measured by our company under the same conditions and is an index for product grade classification.


Since the short-term stability value of Alan dispersion is not clearly defined by international standards, a large error may occur between calibration laboratories. The above selection values ​​will be the values ​​of our calibration equipment.
