許多人問店主為什麼要為Raspberry Pi 3搭建i2S DAC?你知道大多數人在市場上使用USB DAC。

店主回復說,他希望更多的人了解您DAC的實力和DAC的瓶頸。

其實,我建立這個I2S DAC是因為有一天一個人, 請求店主為他設計。他是做物流業務的司機。他想在家裡聆聽他的好音樂,音樂存儲在他車的USB記憶體中。這是因為他的預算有限和設置復雜,一天下午,他在閱讀Hiendy論壇後,向店主通電話,解釋了我在那裡介紹了Raspberry Pi 3(AfterDark. audiophileCAS DTD)作為數字傳輸播放音樂。

他問店主的第一個問題是,這個DTD容易設置,可以播放音樂嗎?他說他想在家裡買一個新的音響系統。從揚聲器開始,分級放大等。

這已經三個月了,店主再次打電話給他。

店主對他說: 我們開發了一種名為I2S DAC的新產品,高性價比, 播放音樂非常好,如錄音室等級, 一定要試。店主請求他來店試聽這台新產品 :

結果令人難以置信。


這是下午五點半左右的下午,他完成了工作,開車到我店裡。

他帶來了他的USB Hi-Res音樂,全是張學友unplugged版本到店,用I2S DAC試播. 那天店主使用Volumio x AudiophileCAS DTD播放張學友. I2S DAC聲音再現細膩,背景如此黑暗 深刻,如此細節自然. 相信作為 Digital Transport Device 的 Raspberry Pi 3 與 I2S DAC介面的配合亦有莫大關係. 

店主同時在店裡教他設置了Volumio Wifi Hotspot進行基本設置, 用手機遙控。

上次店主借給他一對RCA電纜回家設置。最後他把所有的裝備帶回家,簡單享受音樂.

關於技術的話題: 
"在cas普及之前,Dac 其實一早技術已成熟,近年只是多了hi-res/dsd/dxd format file和對應的chip,但其實最難解決的問題卻是usb 這一關,而且只係一直在進步中,因此即使有間廠造dac好掂,未必等於佢已有應對usb輸入的方案,好多時只係趕及追潮流推出市場而加上份usb入。

由於正在進步中,即係話你半年前買了的usb dac,dac部分可能以冇咩可upgrade但usb方案外面可能已有很大發展和進步了.

近幾年USB介面都已用Async(FIFO re-clock)來代替clock同步方式來減少jitter. 例如dac內置Amanero usb出I2S直接去dac接收部份, dac還有其他接口包括spdif同軸, 光纖輸入經過dac接收器轉為I2S, 發燒dac在接收I2S訊號後, 再用獨立FIFO re-clock處理後送去dac chip工作."

Many people ask the shop owner why you build a i2S DAC for Raspberry Pi 3? As you know most people is using USB DAC at the market. 

The shop owner reply, he want more people to know the strength of your DAC and your bottleneck of your DAC. 

Actually, I build this DAC because of one person who asked me to build for him. He was in logistic business as a driver. He wants to listen to his good music at home which store in his USB Memory  . It is because of limited budget and complexity setup of the Hi-Fi, one afternoon he telephone the shop owner for solution after reading Hiendy forum, where I introduce Raspberry Pi 3 (audiophileCAS DTD) as a digital transport to play music.  

The first question he asked the shop owner is wheather this DTD easy to setup and can play music with it? 

He said he wants to buy a new audio system at home. Starting with speakers, Intergraded amplifiy and so on. 

The shop owner reply:  You need a DAC with USB connection.  
He reply:                     AfterDark. audiophileCAS DTD works without using the USB DAC, it would be great? 
The owner reply:          Yes, but I need to do some R&D to develop them for you. 
The owner said to him: If you have limited budget, please wait for my good news, you can save some money. 

This has been three months time, the shop owner called him again. We have developed a new product called I2S DAC, it is outperformed with the price. The shop owner asked him to come over to the shop and listen to music with this AfterDark. Palette I2S DAC Evo Edition. 

The result is unbelievable. 

This is the late afternoon around 5:30pm, he finished his work and drive to my shop. 

He brings his USB music, full of Hi-Res's Jacky cheung to my shop and try it with my I2S DAC. We used Volumio software for playback with AfterDark. AudiophileCAS DTD. The sound is so details and the background was so dark and deep.
