AfterDark. Project ClayX Giesemann Master Clock Distributor
This version is designed along with customer who is purchased a dCS Apex DAC. They required to have flexibility on working with different Word Clock Frequency, the audiophiles already acquired a flagship grade 10M Master Clock in the existing system, and looking for a clock distributor device which can generate the word clock outputs from 10M Master Clock in. As a result, all devices can sync with single 10M Master Clock to all devices. This approach can achieve the optimial result for sounding.
This Giesemann Master Clock Distributor can improving the latest dCS Apex Vivaldi DAC. In additions with 3 x Word Clock, they request 3 more 10M Master Clock ouputs signals for network switch and other devices which accepting 10M Master Clock.
What is the design concept of Giesemann Master Clock Distributor ?
- Digital Input: External 10M Master Clock Reference Input on 1 x 75ohms BNC connector.
- The outputs signal will be in Square Wave, 75 Ohms with isolated with 6 outputs BNC Connectors.
- Each of the outputs can be preset to various frequency
- The chassis is rigid, heavy weighted and fine tuned with Carbon Fiber for EMI protection and ensure highest stability
- Gold plated DC socket to connect external LPS at 12V 2A
- The color of chassis can be made to order with choices of Silver and Black Colors
- Plug and Play compatibilty for dCS customers
What is the summery of adjustable frequencies?

The BNC at the Top is 10M Master Clock Input and the Bottom BNC is word clock or 10M outputs
The latest version of dCS Master Clock will have Reference IN for 10M Master Clock and 8 outputs of Word Clock Signals.
For dCS Lina Network DAC, the device are accepting 2 inputs of Word Clock:
- 2 x Word Clock Inputs on BNC connectors, accept accept standard Word Clock at 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 or 192kHz. The data rate can be the same as the clock rate or an exact multiple of the clock rate.
- To achieve the best possible clocking frequency, we use the highest grade of from Giesemann OCXO Master Clock to generate the Word Clock for each frequency at 44.1, 48khz.
For dCS Vivaldi DAC, the device are accepting 3 inputs of Word Clock as below:
- 3 x Word Clock Inputs on BNC connectors, accept standard Word Clock at 32, 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 or 192kHz. The data rate can be the same as the clock rate or an exact multiple of the clock rate.
- To achieve the best possible clocking frequency, we use the highest grade of from Giesemann OCXO Master Clock to generate the Word Clock for each frequency at 44.1, 48, 96, 176.4kHz.
For dCS Rossini DAC, the device are accepting 2 inputs of Word Clock:
- 2 x Word Clock Inputs on BNC connectors, accept standard Word Clock at 44.1, 48kHz. The data rate can be the same as the clock rate or an exact multiple of the clock rate.
- To achieve the best possible clocking frequency, we use the highest grade of from Giesemann OCXO Master Clock to generate the Word Clock for each frequency at 44.1, 48khz.
For dCS Network Bridge / Bartok DAC, the device are accepting 2 inputs of Word Clock:
